March is National Reading Month, and these students wanted to spread the joy of reading

WASHINGTON — It is National Reading Month, and a group of DMV schools are helping us get uplifted and celebrate.

The month of March marks a chance to remember how magical books can be and to encourage reading daily. One group of local schools are participating by making sure books are available to all kids to enjoy.

The eight Primrose Schools across D.C. and northern Virginia helped donate a total of 3,194 books. The tiny scholars collected books for several organizations including the Loudoun County Literacy Council, INOVA Children’s Hospital, and Reading is Fundamental… just to name a few.

The book drive helps to encourage students to donate books for underserved families, while also teaching the principle of giving without expectation.
