SENECA, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Oconee County Coroner’s Office said an Upstate man is dead after a self-inflicted shooting at a business on Thursday afternoon.
Multiple emergency agencies were called to Burger King in the 1400 block of Sandifer Boulevard around 1:15 p.m.
The coroner said the self-inflicted shooting occurred in the restroom of the Burger King. The individual involved, a Pickens County man, was transported to Oconee Memorial Hospital where he passed away.
His death was classified as a suicide.
The incident remains under investigation by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Department.
