Local therapy animals & owners on a mission to help improve mental health | Features [Video]

CHICO, Calif. – On today’s Wellness Wednesday segment, morning anchor Kelli Saam tagged along with the Pet Partners of Chico as they took their therapy animals to Chico State.

Dogs Gus and Big Chico aren’t just out for a walk; they are spreading cheer wherever they go. 

They, along with their dogs Little Chico and Strega, and their human partners, are animal therapy teams with Pet Partners of Chico. 

Meeting these dogs is a chance for these Chico State students to put aside the stress of their homework and feel closer to their pets back home. 

“They’re all so cute; Gus is my bestie right now; he’s my bestie,” Tori Adams said.
