A PUBLIC parking lot has filled with more than two dozen depleted Chevy Bolts after charging issues plagued the fleet of EVs.

The fleet of Chevy Bolts, purchased with the guidance of federal funding, has been sunk by a charging shortage in a community, according to local reports.

A municipal parking lot has filled with 27 Bolts in Connecticut, according to the New Haven Independent.

Last year, New Haven’s government purchased 43 Bolts from GM, hoping to make the zero-emissions jump.

However, the city may not have implemented enough charging infrastructure to maintain the fleet, the publication reported.

“We jumped to get the number of Bolts that we did in part because it was such a good deal,” Steve Winter, the executive director of climate and sustainability in the city, told the publication.
