Hillary Clinton and Kelly Clarkson on Monday emphasized the importance of voting while discussing Arizona’s 1864 abortion ban.

“There is so much voter apathy going on and that is why things like this are happening,” Clarkson said to Clinton in an episode of her talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson show,” that aired Monday. “What I’m hearing from everyone is that they’re just exhausted and they feel powerless and ‘Even if I do vote, what does it matter?’ What does it matter? Well, that’s why we’re going back to 1864.”

“But what do we do about that?” Clarkson continued. “Because it’s hard to preach at someone that you have to care about something.
