Rachel Maddow Describes Seeing ‘Miserable,’ ‘Annoyed’ Trump in Court [Video]

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow described Donald Trump as “annoyed” and “miserable” after being in a Manhattan courtroom with him on Monday for his hush money trial.

Trump is facing more than 30 counts related to a hush money payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels to cover up an alleged affair. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has accused Trump of falsifying business records to conceal money given to Daniels through disbarred attorney Michael Cohen. Trump has denied any wrongdoing, as well as the affair.

After court was adjourned early on Monday, Maddow described the room as a “dingy courtroom” and said it was “striking” to see the former president in that environment.

“It is striking to see the former president, somebody who has tried to sort of embody the luxury brand sitting in a room that essentially feels like a high ceilinged DMV office,” she said.
