AES Indiana giving Hoosiers free tree saplings for Arbor Day [Video]

Arbor Day is a celebration on the last Friday of April where people are encouraged to plant trees to sustainably protect our planet’s natural resources.

INDIANAPOLIS — Arbor Day is right around the corner, and one local organization is helping Hoosiers celebrate.

For the tree celebration, AES Indiana will give out free tree saplings to the public at the Garfield Park Burrello Family Center, located at 2345 Pagoda Drive, Friday, April 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the giveaway at the park, the organization will host a workshop for attendees to learn about the environmental issues our world faces.

Since 2008, AES Indiana has given away more than 11,000 trees during Arbor Day celebrations.
