PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An adult and a teen have been indicted for an ambush attack on a Phoenix police officer last month.
Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced Tuesday that Mathew Rodriguez, 17 and Jamiah Mower, 19 were indicted by a grand jury this week. An unidentified teen is currently facing charges related to the shooting in juvenile court.
Just before midnight on March 29, two women were getting into their cars near 35th and Southern avenues when the three suspects approached them with guns drawn, demanding the women’s vehicles, according to the county attorney’s office.
When Phoenix Police Officer Harold Boswell responded to help the women, Mitchell said he was met with gunfire from Rodriguez and Mower.
