Coleman Center for the Arts promotes art and agriculture opportunities in west Alabama [Video]

YORK, Ala. (WTOK) – In west Alabama, the Coleman Center for the Arts has a wealth of programs and resources aimed at incorporating art into education and promoting community development.

The Coleman Center was founded in 1985 through a grassroots effort to create a space to showcase regional artists and foster small-scale food production.

Dr. Marguerite Hinrichs, the Executive Director and Curator, said the center offers several programs for all ages to immerse the Black Belt region into a contemporary arts experience.
