Central Jersey city the latest to add an indoor mask mandate [Video]

New Brunswick has become the latest municipality in New Jersey to implement an indoor mask requirement in another attempt to help slow the spread of the coronavirus, city officials said.

Face coverings must be worn in government buildings, restaurants, bars, gymnasiums, stores and houses of worship throughout the city in Middlesex County as of 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30.

The executive order signed by longtime Mayor Jim Cahill runs through the end of January 2022. The usual exceptions apply — for eating and drinking, as well as being alone in an office, for example.
