SFPD officers responded to the 600 block of Ellis Street at around 4:48 a.m. Officers rendered aid at the scene. A male victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police said they were told an unknown suspect shot the victim.

When police searched the area, they located another victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The second victim was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Police said the victim was walking in the area when he realized he had been shot.

It is not clear what led up to the two shootings.

Sirens woke residents of the Tenderloin early Tuesday morning, as Citizen App video showed a large police presence at the scene.

No other details have been released.
