Forest Acres Police seek missing man with dementia [Video]

Authorities have called for assistance and are receiving support from other agencies.

FOREST ACRES, S.C. — Forest Acres Police are looking for a missing man with dementia they believe may be in danger.

The department said 67-year-old Leon Canzater was reported missing around 11:30 a.m. from his home on Lakeland Drive near Pine Belt and Two Notch roads – not far from the Heyward Career and Technology Center. Forest Acres officers responded and have been canvassing the area. 

Canzater was last seen wearing a red shirt and gray pajama pants.

Forest Acres Police have called the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department to help and provide aerial support.

Police urged anyone who sees Canzater to call dispatch at 803-782-9444.
