State police asking Arkansans to ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ [Video]

“A few dollars spent on a ride is a lot cheaper than a DWI, which can cost up to $10,000,” Arkansas State Police said.

ARKANSAS, USA — As the Fourth of July approaches, many Arkansans are planning to celebrate the day with friends and family. While festivities are encouraged, local and state law enforcement are discouraging Arkansans and any incoming travelers from getting behind the wheel after drinking. 

Arkansas State Police (ASP), the Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD), and other local law enforcement said they are partnering with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in their Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign to deter impaired driving and prevent any tragedies in the state.
