Adrian Gonzales indictment in Uvalde mass school shooting [Video]

Gonzales faces 29 counts, one for each of the 19 children killed in the shooting, as well as one count for each of the 10 child survivors.

UVALDE, Texas — An indictment unsealed Friday has revealed that former Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) police officer Adrian Gonzales has been charged with 29 counts of Abandoning/Endangering Child in connection with the deadly mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.

Texas law says that a person is guilty of Abandonment or Endangerment of a Child if they intentionally abandon the child in any place under circumstances that exposes the child to an unreasonable risk of harm.  

The indictment says that Gonzales “failed to engage, distract, or delay the shooter” and failed to “act in any way” to stop the shooter. It also says he failed to follow his active shooter training.
