American Lung Association: Butte County gets F in State of the Air Report | News [Video]

A new report released today by the American Lung Association analyzed EPA data on air quality throughout the country. It listed extreme heat, drought and wildfires as factors that have contributed to a rise in deadly air pollution.

A new report released today by the American Lung Association analyzed EPA data on air quality throughout the country. It listed extreme heat, drought and wildfires as factors that have contributed to a rise in deadly air pollution.

It also gave counties grades for ozone and two measures of particle pollution.

Action News Now has now checked the rankings. For Tehama, Butte and Shasta counties, they received an F grade for particle pollution.

Glenn and Siskiyou counties were graded with an A.
