Columbus selected Texier with the 45th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Blue Jackets traded center Alexandre Texier to the St. Louis Blues on Friday.

According to a release from the club, Columbus is receiving a 2025 4th-round pick in exchange for the 24-year-old France native.

The trade comes just hours before the Blue Jackets are set to have the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.

Texier scored 34 goals and 45 assists for 79 points during his 201 career games with the Blue Jackets. He made his debut at the end of the 2018-19 season. 

During the 2023-24 season, the center scored 12 goals and 18 assists in 78 games. He set single-season career highs for goals, assists, points and games played this season.
