EL PASO, Texas (KDBC) — A tip “regarding migrants possibly being harbored” inside a home led U.S. Border Patrol agents to 50 smuggled migrants inside a stash house.
Agents with the Border Patrol’s Anti-Smuggling Unit teamed up with the Texas Department of Public Safety and found them in the garage in El Paso, Texas, on Sunday.
They said the 50 were primarily from Guatemala, and KDBC reported others were from Mexico and El Salvador.
All were in good health despite the deplorable conditions.
They were processed but authorities have not said what will happen to them.
Two people from Mexico, identified as the “caretakers” of the home, were arrested and charged with smuggling.
