Best Buy has just replaced the United States Postal Service as the organization most impersonated by scammers trying to steal your money.

Best Buy’s Geek Squad is a legitimate service that repairs and helps with home computer and security issues.

But the FTC says scammers are now using its name and logo more than any other company to try to fool you into thinking you are being charged for a subscription renewal.

“So I got an email and it said you are renewing your subscription, and I said I don’t remember ever having a subscription,” said Heather.

That happened to her last year. Luckily, she didn’t give a credit card number in response.
