Butte County Association of Governments met to go over strategic plan for the North Valley Rail | News [Video]

The next meeting will be May 23 at 9 a.m., and that’s when the board will present the final version of the strategic plan.

CHICO, Calif. – The Butte County Association of Governments met on Thursday to go over the strategic plan for the North Valley Rail.

Nothing is set in stone yet, but the public hearing did provide some insight as the board gets closer to finalizing the plan. Over a dozen people showed up to hear more about the train route that would connect Butte, Yuba and Sutter counties to the Northern Sacramento Valley.

Action News Now spoke with board member and Vice Mayor of Chico, Kasey Reynolds, who said they’re still deciding where the trains will stop in the Chico area.
