The crash happened overnight near the Boston Post Road and Post Avenue intersection.
WESTBROOK, Conn. — A 23-year-old has died after a rollover crash off of the Boston Post Road in Westbrook overnight Saturday.
State police were called to the intersection of Boston Post Road (Rt. 1) and Post Avenue around 1:41 a.m. to investigate the crash.
Eddy Alberto Zapata-Cardenas of Higganum was traveling east on Boston Post Road in a Honda CR-V, state police said. While on a left-hand curve, the SUV went into the right shoulder and hit the curb. The SUV hit a tree and a parked F350 Super Duty, and then rolled over.
Zapata-Cardenas was taken to an area hospital, where he later died, state police said.
This crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to contact Trooper Brandon Dadio at 860-399-2100.
