First Alert Weather | Wednesday Forecast [Video]

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Wednesday will sport the dull, drab and dreary skies of early spring. Showers will be off and on….more on in the morning, more off in the afternoon. Clouds will hold temperatures down in the mild and murky 60s all day long.

By Thursday, a strong south wind will transport an atmosphere with lots of humidity (moisture for rain) and lots of wind in the heavens (energy for thunderstorms). That combination should produce a new weather watch from the National Weather Service to complement the next First Alert Weather Day for our region. Thursday’s temperatures will soar way into the 70s before late day storms pass with pockets of heavy rain, hail and strong winds. While these storms will be potent, they should come in smaller clusters compared to last week’s widespread action.
