COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A southern Colorado family is still searching for answers one year after a man was found dead.

On Easter Sunday of last year, Fountain Police Department said Christian Cook was found on the railroad tracks near Alegre Circle and Highway 85/87. His case remains unsolved. To bring more attention to the case and to honor his life, Cook’s family held a memorial Tuesday.

“Christian was a very loving father. He loved his kids the most,” said Matthew Cook, Christian’s oldest brother.

“That was my best friend,” said Justin Cook, Christian’s brother.

Christian Cook was just 31 year-old when his life was taken from him. Police believe he’s the victim of a homicide. His family shares with 11 News that they were shocked to learn what happened.

“Confused … I didn’t know what was going on. I didn’t believe it at first,” said Matthew.
