WASHINGTON (TND) — The new energy crisis in America has House Republicans looking for ways to reduce costs and lift some regulations with major energy proposals.
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, who is leading the charge and is introducing a bill this week to combat the issue, joined The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat Monday morning to discuss the story.
“Inflation is through the roof and one of the big drivers behind inflation is the higher cost of energy because the Biden administration went after American energy,” he said. “Day one, when President Biden took the oath of office, we shut down the Keystone Pipeline. He made it harder to get permits, applications, new leases for drilling in America.”
