Iconic restaurant with 125 locations breaks silence to reassure ‘distraught’ fans after closures and bankruptcy filing [Video]

A FAST-CASUAL Florida chain has announced it’s filing for bankruptcy and shuttered the doors of 11 locations in the switch-up.

Tijuana Flats announced it was selling to a new ownership group, but a recent social media post revealed that several locations are staying put.

The Florida-based company announced it was filing for bankruptcy in a news release and revealed its acquisition under new owner, Flatheads, LLC.

With Chapter 11 Bankruptcy came the closure of 11 restaurants and a slew of customers flocking to social media to express their disappointment.

In several posts on X, the website formerly known as Twitter, customers reacted to the bankruptcy and closure announcements.

“The quesadillas will be missed,” wrote one user.

“I am distraught right now,” said another.

“This is my 9/11,” posted one fan.
