WINDHAM N.H. (WGME) ā A school district in New Hampshire that covers Windham and Raymond, RSU 14, is reviewing the book “Gender Queer: A Memoir” after some parents in the district called for it to be banned.
Adam Zajac called the book pornographic and wants it pulled from the schools in Windham and Raymond.

The inclusion of “Gender Queer” into school libraries has been met with praise and fear in schools from Maine to California.
The book has a small number of graphic illustrations and is one of the most commonly banned books in the country.
District Superintendent Chris Howell said he has heard from parents on both sides of the controversy.
They want to make sure students can see themselves within libraries, and they also want to make sure students have resources that they need,ā he said on Tuesday.
