Man fired pellet gun at 2 people, responding officers in Hamden, police say [Video]

HAMDEN, CT (WFSB) – A 47-year-old man shot a pellet gun at two people in Hamden, according to police.

Wednesday around 4:55 p.m., officers said they responded to Spruce Bank Road.

They received a 911 call that reported a person had been shot in the arm while fishing.

The victim told police he believed he had been shot in the arm by a BB gun.

However, a suspect was nowhere to be found.

Later around 7 p.m., officers said they received a second call for a person who was shot in the area of Ives Street and Spruce Bank Road.

The victim there had injuries consistent with being shot multiple times, including in the face.

Officers said it wasn’t immediately clear what type of weapon had been used.

When police arrived, they said the suspect was still on the scene and held a rifle. The suspect threatened to harm himself.
