The shooting occurred around Johnson Terrace, and police said an adult male suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

HARTFORD, Conn. — The Hartford Police Department responded to a shooting in the city early Saturday evening after a man suffered a non-life-threatening gun shot wound.

According to a release from Hartford police, at around 7:03 p.m., Hartford police responded to the area of a residence on Johnson Terrace after receiving a ShotSpotter notification. ShotSpotter uses acoustic gunshot detection technology and sensors to detect, locate and alert police to the sight of a shooting.

Police said that, upon arrival, they discovered one adult male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The release said that the Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions have responded and assumed the investigation.
