WASHINGTON (TND) — Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is set to indict former President Donald Trump over an investigation into hush money paid during his 2016 campaign.
Washington insider Armstrong Williams joined The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat Monday morning to discuss the story.
“I’m pretty confident that Trump will be indicted but not over reasons that people are not talking about,” he said. “The bigger kahuna is Mar-a-Lago and the papers, Georgia and the elections and also Jan. 6.”
Williams says that the administration and the Republican establishment are seeing what kind of protestors he has once he’s indicted and whether or not he has the level of support to win the presidency again.
The potential indictment is in connection to the yearlong investigation of the hush money scheme that involved adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
“There’s a real crime here, but Trump is not the only one capable of this,” he said.
