Police say David Negrete, 19, is wanted on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and he should be considered “armed and dangerous.”
PEARLAND, Texas — Pearland police are searching for a 19-year-old who’s been charged in connection with Sunday’s flea market shooting that left a child dead and four people injured.
At least one accused gunman is on the run, according to PPD.
David Negrete, 19, is wanted on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and he should be considered “armed and dangerous,” police said in an updated statement. Negrete was identified after police interviewed witnesses and victims and looked at surveillance videos.
“This is very, very important that we get this person in custody as soon as possible,” Pearland PD spokesman C. Rogers said during a news conference Monday.
He said there could be two other suspects.
They said the injured innocent bystanders included a 14-year-old Hispanic female and a 37-year-old Hispanic man.
