UVA Center for Politics reacts to Trump’s bond reduction – [Video]

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (CBS19 NEWS) — The UVA Center for Politics is reacting to former President Donald Trump appeal win on Monday.

A New York appeals court is allowing him to post a reduced $175 million bond to appeal the $464 million civil fraud judgment against him, his adult sons and his company.

Larry Sabato with the UVA Center for Politics says it was also a political win for Trump because this means he’s now able to delay even more.

“I think at this point, every time we try to put a period at the end of the sentence about Trump’s trials, we end up with a comma. And we ought to remember that, a series of commas all the way through November 5th,” he said.

If Trump fails to post bond, it could leave some of his prized real estate and other assets vulnerable to seizure by the state.
