Virginia legislature asserts authority over state buildings [Video]

The seat of state government in Richmond is becoming a battleground in an expanding turf war between the General Assembly and Gov. Glenn Youngkin, with control of state agencies and buildings at stake.

The budget the Senate adopted last week would challenge the Youngkin administration over control of the newly renovated Old City Hall — a national historic landmark facing Capitol Square — and a new state government parking garage at the corner of North Ninth and East Broad streets across from the newly opened General Assembly Building.
