Watch: The Great American Eclipse is on the way for Monday [Video]

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – On Monday, a solar eclipse will be taking place across North America. This will be one of the rare times that it can be viewed in a good portion of the United States. While Wisconsin won’t be in the path of the total eclipse, over 80% of the sun will be blocked by the moon on Monday at the peak of the eclipse in the afternoon. The weather is not shaping up to be completely favorable to see the sun in the sky on Monday from midday into the afternoon, however in Central Wisconsin, there will be some breaks in the clouds. In southern and eastern parts of the state, that is where the eclipse will be most visible. In contrast, the Northwoods could be stuck in clouds and viewing will be limited at best.
