We can all make a difference to the earths environment [Video]

WESTLAKE, Ohio — Harvey Webster, retired chief wildlife officer and ambassador emeritus at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, is a passionate advocate for environmental conservation.

As a board member of the Audubon Society of Greater Cleveland, he is actively involved in initiatives like “Nature in My Backyard,” presented by the Shaker Lakes Garden Club.

Webster recently gave a talk, titled “Save the World: Nature in My Backyard,” at the Westlake Community Center.

In it, he underscored the power of collective action to an audience that was intensely interested.

“Accumulated actions of people who care could change the world,” Webster asserted.

Drawing from his 47 years at the Museum of Natural History, he shared insights on conservation efforts.

One success story is that of the bald eagle, which saw a dramatic recovery from only four active nests in Ohio in 1979 to nearly 1,000 today.
