LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a trailer home caught fire in Shively on Sunday.

Shively Fire Department Col. Charles Mucker said crews went to a fire at a mobile home community in the 2700 block of 7th Street Road around 12:29 p.m. Once firefighters arrived on scene, they found a heavy fire in a one-story trailer home.

The fire caused extensive damage to the building that caught fire, and some minimal damage to a nearby property.

Firefighters didn’t find anyone else in the home besides the person taken to the hospital. 25 firefighters got the fire under control in 10 minutes.
