2024 graduates present bronze statue to Dothan Fire Department [Video]

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -Dothan High School’s Class of 2024 is recognizing the work of the Dothan Fire Department.

The graduates decided to commemorate DFD by gifting them a special token of appreciation—a bronze statue.

Located at the Central fire station on Columbia Highway, the bronze firemen crafted by The Bronze Depot acts as a tribute to all who serve this department, recognizing their bravery and service to the area.

”We are so appreciative as students to everyone that helps in our community and we know the hard work that it takes to do this. Not everyone is capable, mentally and physically, to do this every day,” Connor Cody, the Dothan High School student section leader, said.

It also honors the two firemen who lost their lives in the line of duty in this department.
