2024 Solar Eclipse Tracker: Watch the solar eclipse live stream [Video]

Find out exactly when the eclipse will peak in your location.

CALIFORNIA, USA — California isn’t in the path of totality, but there will still be a window of time to check out the solar eclipse.

The most coverage people from Sacramento, Stockton and Modesto will get is a little more than 36%. That’ll happen around 11:14-15 a.m. Monday.

The partial eclipse will begin in the Sacramento area at 10:16 a.m. Monday and end at 12:18 p.m. Eye protection is necessary to view the eclipse safely.

If you miss it, it’ll be a long time before you can see it again. The United States won’t see another total solar eclipse until 2044.
