ELK GROVE, Calif — The Elk Grove Western Festival was canceled this year after their agreement with Cosumnes Community Services District was terminated.
According to Cosumnes CSD, the decision to end the agreement with the festival was made due to non-compliance with outlined terms. It came after two extensions for the festival to “fulfill its requirements to ensure public health and safety.”
“The safety and well-being of all participants and attendees remain our top priority. We hope to work together to ensure that future events can be held safely and successfully,” said Cosumnes CSD General Manager Phil Lewis in a statement to ABC10.
