3 taken to KC metro hospitals after I-35 rollover collision [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Three individuals were taken to Kansas City area hospitals after a late-night rollover collision on I-35 over the weekend.

The Kansas Highway Patrol Crash Log indicates that around 10:15 p.m. on Friday, April 5, emergency crews were called to the area of southbound I-35 and Lamar Ave. with reports of a 2-vehicle collision.

When first responders arrived, they said they found a 2018 GMC SUV driven by Christopher D. Manning, 30, of Lenexa, and a 2014 Mazda Crossover driven by Shannon H. De Buchel, 36, of Overland Park, had both been headed south in the first lane of the interstate.

KHP noted that Manning’s SUV had been speeding and hit the rear end of De Buchel’s Mazda. This caused the SUV to veer off the road to the right and roll into the ditch.
