DICKSON, Okla. (KTVT) – An Oklahoma couple now hospitalized with broken backs and necks have their 9-year-old son to thank for saving them after a tornado tossed their truck into some trees.
Wayne and Lindy Baker, along with their 9-year-old son, Branson Baker, found themselves in the midst of an EF4 tornado as they drove toward a friend’s storm shelter Saturday in Dickson. Suddenly, the tornado picked up the family’s truck and tossed it into a pile of trees.
“One of the most horrific things I’ve ever seen in my life,” said Branson’s uncle, Johnny Baker.
The parents were trapped and severely injured, but Branson was miraculously unhurt. He was able to get out of the truck …
