LAREDO, Texas — On Tuesday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CPB), Office of Feld Operation officers seized methamphetamine that totaled more than $8.4 million in street value from a tractor at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo.
A CBP officer referred to a 2021 Volvo tractor and trailer that was suspiciously transferring a commercial shipment of celery, broccoli and cauliflower for secondary inspection.
After a canine alerted to the tractor and a “non-intrusive inspection system examination,” CBP officers said they discovered 923 pounds of meth within the tractor and trailer.
The amount of meth that was found reportedly had a street value of $8,493,968.
