WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – Reservations are due Wednesday to attend the annual American Agriculture Appreciation Banquet.
Mike Witte is the President and CEO of the Portage County Business Council. He joined Sunrise 7 on Tuesday to talk about the importance of the banquet.
“Portage County is no. 1 one in potatoes, sweet corn, peas, and snap beans are what we call green beans. And so we really want to celebrate agriculture as a thriving business,” Witte said.
The banquet is Monday, March 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Convention Center. It’s located at 1001 Amber Ave. in Stevens Point.
