Arvest Bank kicks off 14th annual Million Meals campaign to feed local communities | News [Video]

TULSA, Okla. — Arvest Bank kicked off its 14th annual Million Meals campaign on Monday.

“According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Oklahoma ranked 6th among the most food-insecure states in the nation based on average rates from 2020-2022,” the announcement said.

The two-month long campaign runs through May 31 to raise money for local communities. It is also for raising awareness about food insecurity, the announcement said.

It also said every dollar raised provides five meals to a local, hungry family.

The initiative will help 85 community food partners in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas. The organizations that were selected as food partners this year are Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Harvest House, Iron Gate, God’s Helping Hands in Eufaula, The Cart Guy Inc. in McAlester, Muskogee Community Food Pantry, Northstar in Pryor, and Wagoner Area Neighbors.
