Authorities catch Omaha teacher in car with undressed student [Video]

ELKHORN, Neb. (WOWT) – A substitute teacher in Omaha is behind bars after authorities reportedly caught her in a car undressed with a teen.

Erin Ward, 45, was arrested and booked into jail on one count of felony sexual abuse by a school employee.

Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle parked on a dead end road in a neighborhood near 189th and Fort Street in Elkhorn just before 3 a.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, deputies saw two people in the backseat of a Honda sedan, one of whom jumped in the driver’s seat and attempted to flee from authorities before crashing the vehicle into a yard a few blocks away.

After the crash, deputies saw a teenage male without clothes on exit the driver’s seat and run. Authorities found him more than an hour later in a nearby neighborhood wearing only underwear and a …
