Average cost of womens Final Four tickets is double the mens [Video]

(CNN) – What happens when you add Caitlin Clark to the Final Four?

The answer is women’s ticket prices now averaging more than twice the cost of the men’s.

“I think it’s been a special year for women’s basketball,” said Caitlin Clark of the University of Iowa

Logitix, a company that analyses such prices, said women’s tickets have averaged more than $2,300 the past couple of days. For the men’s Final Four, that number’s about $1,000.

And Ticket IQ said the most expensive seat to see the women Friday runs more than $11,000.

“The No. 1 reason women’s college basketball has gotten so popular? It’s Caitlin Clark,” said Dave Zirin, The Nation sports editor.
