Students from Beaumont United and Westbrook High Schools learned about careers in law enforcement and corrections.
BEAUMONT, Texas — Some Beaumont students had the chance to learn more about potential careers in law enforcement and corrections this week.
They were able to view a patrol vehicle, a helicopter and a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Boat, according to a post from the sheriff’s office.
Law enforcement personnel conducted a K-9 demonstration and gave the students a tour inside the Jefferson County jail.
The students were open to all the many possibilities of a future in law enforcement and corrections.
This is a developing story. We will update with more if and when we receive more confirmed information.
