HONOLULU (Island News) — Starting May 1, overnight camping at locations around Oahu, including Bellows Beach, will be closed for the summer. The shutdown of the popular campsites is to accommodate sea turtle nesting season.
As they begin to lay eggs at popular shoreline spots, environmentalists and educators urge beachgoers to maintain distance.
