WASHINGTON, D.C. (Gray News) – President Joe Biden touts himself at the most pro-union president in American history, and he is continuing to put in appearances at union events.
On Friday, he delivered remarks at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Construction and Maintenance Conference in Washington, D.C.
The electrical union, which represents about 775,000 members and retirees, has endorsed Biden in his reelection bid against presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.
He highlighted the bipartisan infrastructure law’s role in increasing union jobs.
Biden saluted the skills of those assembled while he drew comparisons between himself and his rival.
Biden’s visit comes after the president made a stop this week at the Pittsburgh headquarters of United Steelworkers.
