Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger insisted on Monday he was “not mad” about Larry David mocking him in the latest season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
In episode one of the latest season, David is arrested after handing a bottle of water to a friend standing in line to vote – a dig at Georgia’s 2021 law, which prohibited people from giving food or water to voters in an effort to crack down on campaigning in the voting line.
During an interview with Raffensperger on Monday, NewsNation host and Mediaite founder Dan Abrams asked the Georgia secretary of state, “Were you a Curb Your Enthusiasm fan before all of this, or was this the first time you became aware of the show?”
“Well, I’m a conservative Republican, but I’m just not mad about it,” said Raffensperger. “And those folks on MSNBC seem like they get mad about everything, so we’re having some fun with this.”
