SAN ANTONIO — An honor flight with 20 United States military veterans headed to the nation’s capital for a well-deserved thank you Friday morning.

The brave women and men are heading to Washington D.C. to visit national monuments dedicated to their service.
The plane was full of 12 Army veterans, five Air Force veterans, two Navy veterans and one Coast Guard veteran.
Three of the veterans served in three wars each and among the group are three female veterans and two are actually twin sisters.
“I’m so looking forward to seeing the monuments,” Irene Battle, an Air Force veteran said.
