SIOUX CITY — The 2024-2025 Broadway at the Orpheum season will begin at the circus, have two classic movies-turned-full-fledged-musicals in the middle before ending with a tribute to one of Motown’s biggest acts.
The five-production season, presented by Sterling and the MidAmerican Energy Foundation, will kick off with the whimsical family spectacular “Cirque Dreams Holidaze,” on Nov. 24.
This show brings to life a fantastical cast of holiday storybook characters in a Broadway-style production that includes an infusion of contemporary circus acts.
“Dear Evan Hansen,” a deeply personal and profoundly contemporary musical about life and how we live it, will be presented on Dec. 4.
Winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, “Dear Evan Hansen” was adapted into a coming-of-age movie in 2021.
